PRESS RELEASE – The Guam Masters Baseball League (GMBL) in action on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Paseo Stadium with plenty of offense in the three-game schedule.

The Triple J Blue Jays sent 15 batters to the plate and scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first against the Yona Red Hawks and cruising to the 25-2 win. Leading 4-0 in the bottom of the first, Triple J’s Emerald Lablanc crushed a Ton Taitingfong pitch over the wall in left for a the three-run homer run. Lablanc ended up going 3-for-4, four RBIs, and three runs scored. Triple J’s Keith Hattig was 3-for-3, an RBI, and three runs scored. Robbie Rabago went 4-for-5, a double, and five RBIs.
Earlier the Agana Heights Cougars held off the Kosrae Masters 16-11. Cougar first baseman Bert Sablan took care of the offense going 4-for-4, driving in three, and scoring four runs. Gene McDonald went 2-for-3, an RBI, and scored four runs. John Farnum, Jr. was 2-for-4, with a double, and three runs scored. For Kosrae, Peter Nedlic was 2-for-3, with three RBIs, and scored two runs.
The Santa Braves doubled up on the Pohnpei Masters taking the 18-9 win. Leon Mallada was hot for the Braves going 4-for-4, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Carl Pecha was 3-for-4, two RBIs, and three runs scored. Joe Quintinilla was 2-for-4, one of them a double, an RBI, and scored three runs. Roland Cruz was 2-for-5, a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored. For Pohnpei, Isaac Primo went 2-for-3, a triple, two RBIs, and scored a run. Wexy John was 2-for-4, a double, and an RBI.
GMBL action continues on Monday, April 15, 2013, with a double header at Paseo Stadium starting at 6 p.m.
